Show 13 MARCH 71 DAYS PAST Thursday 294 DAYS TO COME A luncheon by Mrs Frank K. Bartlett given by her and Mrs Williams. Rupert still cleaning. Had the small bedroom down stairs papered & painted. HEARTFEVER-AN IRISH COMPLAINT A charmer, curing heart fever, draws a cloth covered cup containing flour across the heart, chanting and thrice walking around the patient. Whatever of the meal has mysteriously disappeared indicates the seriousness of the malady. The remaining meal is made into a scone and eaten by the patient, but the charm becomes useless if anyone comes between the patient and the fire during the baking.
