Trouble Brews Aug. 22, 2009 Country lifestyle keeps colliding with city ^ comforts; now it's wandering ' geese and barking dogs By JESSICA SCHREIFELS MILLER Standard-Examiner staff jmmiller@standard.net MARRIOTT- SLATERVILLE — Anyone willing to adopt 15 geese could potentially solve a neighborhood squabble in Marriott-Slaterville. Roger Miller, who lives on Pioneer Road, has owned a dog kennel and 15 geese that have roamed the neighborhood since 1988. Now, his neighbor is complaining about the geese, and the city says BETH SCHLANKER/Standard-Examiner Roger Miller (left), with the help of friends, employees and Weber County Animal Control officers on Thursday, rounds up geese on his Marriott-Slaterville farm and transfers them to a holding pen.
