Show Marriott-Slaterville History May 2009 Bits and Pieces Carter Bradley Boudrero, son of Daniel and Traci Boudrero, was born May 22, 2009. Julie Godfrey Ross, age 47, died on May 7, 2009. Daniel Carver Ross died May 14, 2009, at the age of 46. Evon Quin Murray died May 31, 2009, at the age of 81. Lois Ethel Butler, age 89, an aunt of Mayor Keith Butler, and, until recently, a long-time resident of the city, passed away on May 30, 2009. Congratulation to our fine young residents Dalton Aiken, Crystal Bell, Joel Buttars, Jonathan Christiansen, Brett Dyer, McKenzie Eddy, Cody Heslington, Kimberly Jensen, Samantha Jensen, Evan Okey, Marcie Price, Megan Price, Karley Pronschinske, Matthew Savage, Brock Slater, Koltry Syme, Dakota Taylor, Kaleb Wayment, Jerica Wilson, and Aimee Yazzie who graduated from Fremont High School. Joel Buttars, Brett Dyer, Kimberly Jensen, Samantha Jensen, Evan Okey and Jerica Wilson were on the honor rolls at Fremont High School for the Spring 2009 Semester. Chick Hislop recently received an Honorary Doctorate of Humanities degree from Weber State University, for his outstanding endeavors in the community and the university. He is the only Athletic Coach to have received this honor. Sherry Morris was named again this year as a Standard Examiner Apple For the Teacher Award. Mrs. Morris teaches at Sandridge Junior High School. Cory Milne, site manager of Great Salt Lake Minerals, has submitted an application with the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, to build saltwater evaporation ponds on 75,000 acres of surface water on the west side of the Great Salt Lake and on the northwest arm. The ponds are used to produce sulfate of potash, a fertilizer, and other chemicals and salt. The Utah Renaissance Festival and Fantasy Faire was held at 3109 W. Pioneer Road in our city, on May 8-10 and 15-17,2009. Bart Spencer was listed as a member of NAIFA Bonneville Chapter, in their list, entitled "Helping You Get Back to the Basics During Challenging Times," dated May 10, 2009. As local beekeeper is interested in finding bees.
