Show Information: First United Methodist Church is sponsoring a 5k Run/2 Mile Walk and Chili Cook-Off. Runners, walkers and chili cooks from all walks of life and locations are welcome. After the races, everyone is invited to come to the parking area of First United Methodist Church for after race refreshments, awards, drawing, and, of course, some "hot" chili and fun for the whole family. Festivities will begin at 11:00 am. Admission to taste chili is a donation of one canned food item. Voting for the best chili will be done by your dollars and loose change. Proceeds from the race/ walk and chili cook-off will be donated to the George E. Wahlen Veterans Home. Everyone is encouraged to wear your Halloween costume for the day's activities. Race Location The 5K race/2 mile walk will start and end on the west side of Business Depot Ogden. The best access to the race location is at the intersection of 1200 West and 400 North in Marriott-Slaterville. Age Divisions Men and women: 12 & under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+ Awards Awards will be presented to the top three finishers in each age division. Entry Fee A signed application along with a non-refundable $20 fee payable to First United Methodist Church must be received at First United Methodist Church, 1339 West 400 North, Marriott-Slaterville, UT 84404 (PH: 801-393-5662) not later than October 27 for pre-registration. For applications received after this date and on the day of the race until 9:30 a.m., the fee will be $22. Entry fee will entitle the participant to the race, shirt (pre-registrations only), post race refreshments and random prize drawings.
