Show 11 MARCH 68 DAYS PAST Tuesday 296 DAYS TO COME Finished up stairs today cleaned West bedroom, bath & hall today. At 12:30 P.M. I attended the funeral of sister Ester Keyes. I was ask to be one of the speakers, Having known her in Relief Society work for 30 yr. She was a fine woman and had served as a Relief Society visiting teacher for 48 yr. Wrote Jr & Blanch. Did not sleep well last night so must retire early. Drs cold better HEADACHE- BUMPING AWAY HEADACHE Kindred tribes of Labrador and Greenland treated headache by placing the patients head in a sort of strap which came over the forehead. One end of a strong stick was placed in this strap, the other kept in the hands of the operator who, keeping time to a doleful tune, would repeatedly raise the patients head as high as the lenth of the neck permitted, and then lower the head with a bump on the floor. Wednesday 70 DAYS PAST MARCH 12 295 DAYS TO COME Have had a busy day cleaning big library. This evening Dr and I spent at the twelfth Ward hearing a lecture on Europe and afterwards went to the Wedding reception of Mary Hopkins Minds of moderate caliber ordinarily condemn everything which is beyond their range- LA ROCHEFOUCAULD |
