20 APRIL 109 DAYS PAST Sunday 256 DAYS TO COME Dr & I went to Sunday school. Had our dinner at Dicks Cafe. Called to see Dr & Mrs F.W. Baker. Junior & cleone called. W drove out to the Air Port. Went to Sacrament meeting this evening. Bishop Earl Paul gave a splendid faith promoting talk and bore a fine testimony. Told of his experience in the war 22 yr ago also of his mission. Advised young men going into the service to remember their mothers words to them regarding virtue etc. RICKETS- AGAINST THE SUN Another widespread belief in the cure of rickets recommended the passing of the naked child three times through a cleft ash sapling at sunrise- oftentimes against the sun. Then the tree, tightly bound and the fissure plastered with mud or clay, was left to heal. If it did so, the child would too; but if the tree fared badly so would the child.
