ANTIMONY- MULTITUDE OF COMPOUNDS There have been a multitude of antimony compounds, the best known of which is tarter emetic. Adrian Mynsicht, physician to the Duke of Mecklenburg in the early part of the seventeenth century, is generally credited with bringing out tarter emetic, as the earliest known description of it is to be found in his Thesaurus et Armamentarium Medico-Chymicum, published in 1631.
