VALUE OF CANNED FOODS In his Chadwick Lecture, Sir William Savage stated that, quantitatively, the canning process caused no detrimental changes; indeed everything in the tin was edible. Qualitatively, there was no loss of vitamins A and D, but some of B1, B2 and C; yet no greater than when similar foods were cooked. He believed that canned foods, though causing a certain amount of food poisoning, were safer than ordinary foods. (Brit. M. J., Dec. 30, 1939.) About 12 members present Mrs Amy B. Lyman Pres. of Gen R.S. of the church also Mrs Worthin were guests. This evening Dr & I attended the wedding reception of Geo. Larkin & Wiggins.
