Show 3-12 '24 Ogden High School Notes An appeal has been made to high school boys to refrain flrom the smoking habit. Much improvement j has been noted in this respect this year and it is thought that it is: easily possible to get most boys to give up the habit, 1 Attention of boys is called to the Utah statute 8443 (4469): "Any person uner theyige of 21 yearsi wffi5 slrair nrfffWSPfff;'1 have in his possession any ijjtoxi- cating liquor, cigar, cigaret or tobacco in any form or any opium or j any narcotic in any form, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be fined in any sum not exceeding $100." In the interest of health, as well as of mental development, students of high school should not allow themselves to be handicapped by a vicious habit. Supt. W. Karl Hopkins told the rifle team members Tuesday that they would probably recehe free board for a month if they should win the Hearst trophy this year- so enthusiastic are the civic clubs. Capt. L. The sale of Classicalia tickets will close on Thursday as it is estimated that the full quota will be sold by that time. More interest is manifested in debating this year than ever before j at the school. A rather unusual "ad" appeared at the foot of the O. H. S. notes , Tuesday. Many readers who thought they were reading the high ' school news were quite startled when they came to j MOTHERS Watch for symtoms of worms j in your children. . |
