It was a good year in Marriott-Slaterville City, with the usual ups and downs, problems and solutior accomplishments and disappointments which seem to balance out in the long term. We are most fortunate who live here. "A wonderful holiday season" was wished the residents of Marriott-Slaterville City by Mayor Keith Butler in his Christmas Message in the December 2013 issue of The Pioneer Post. He thanked all of the community volunteers whose labors benefit all in our community, and for the part each individual plays as a citizen of our City. The staff worked hard on a balanced budget this year, and for another year, we have had no property tax imposed, and have no city debt. 24
