Water Restrictions The Weber Basin Water Conservancy District has recommended water restrictions this year in anticipation of drought conditions. The city asks households and businesses using pressurized irrigation to follow drought restrictions: 1. No irrigation sprinkling between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., except in case of an emergency. 2. No wasting water. 3. Repair leaky joints or pipes. 4. No over watering or watering during rain storms. 5. No watering in a manner that results in water running or overflowing into neighboring yards, property, streets, or sidewalks, or that creates a pool, flood, or accumulation of standing water. 6. No using irrigation water for non-irrigation purposes or outside of the legal area of the system coverage area. Those residents and businesses who are part of irrigation company and flood irrigate are subject to the restrictions enforced by the irrigation company. May we work together to conserve water this season. Crime Awareness by Sgt. Lane Findlay, Weber County Sheriff Although crime is relatively low in Marriott-Slaterville City, it is important to remember to safeguard your homes and vehicles against possible break-ins. Typically, as the temperature rises, so do the number of property crimes. Most burglaries and thefts are crimes of opportunity. Perpetrators usually look for easy targets and items such as purses, book bags, and electronics. Remove these valuables from your vehicle. Also, the Sheriffs Office asks that you immediately report any suspicious activity. If you observe unfamiliar individuals wandering your neighborhood, or juveniles walking around the streets late at night, please contact the Weber Dispatch at (801)629-8221. Thank you for your support, and hopefully we can all have a safe and wonderful summer!
