Show October 18, 2013 Kent L. Robinson Kent Leslie Robinson passed away October 18, 2013. He was born September 13, 1943 in West Weber, Utah to Leslie Robinson and Emma Herrick Robinson. He married the love of his life, Carolyn Bain on June 3, 2003, in Ogden. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden Temple. He had four children and three grandchildren; he inherited two more children and three more grandchildren when he and Carolyn married. He loved them all very much. To Kent family was the most important part of his life. He loved and supported all his children and grandchildren. He thoroughly enjoyed going to their football and soccer games, dance and tumbling competitions, musical performances wherever they were being played, from Utah to Idaho to Alaska and everywhere in between. Kent attended and held many positions in the Church of Jesus _ Christ of Latter-day Saints, and had a deep conviction of the truthfulness of the gospel. He also volunteered as a worker in the Ogden Temple. He worked as an electrician at DDO for 30 years. When the depot closed he transferred to Hill Air Force Base where he worked another two years. He attended Barber College in 1963 and cut hair both full time and part time for 50 years. He had a shop in his home and cut every Wednesday night, it was a social event for him; he really loved being with and talking to all the guys that came in. Kent loved all sports and sporting events, he had season ticket to WSC basketball games for ten years, where he and others around him would discuss the good or not so good plays and calls. He was an especially good baseball and basketball player, playing on many teams over the years. He really like going to Jazz games. He enjoyed camping and deer hunting trips with family and friends. Not really sure which he liked the most, the actual trip or the reminiscing afterwards. He also loved to go to the Unitas on pack trips with his friends. Kent was a people person, we never went any place (in or out of the state) that he didn't see someone that he knew, or talked to anyone that he didn't figure out that they were related somehow, or that he knew one of their relatives, it was amazing. He always looked forward to pie and ice cream night with, the Wilson Boys, where many laughs and the fond memories of growing up in Wilson occurred. Kent never missed a 24th of July rodeo or parade, of which he was a volunteer for several years. Kent is survived by his wife, Carolyn; children, Shane (Elizabeth) Robinson of Sagel, ID, Chad (Cheryl) Robinson of Anchorage, AK, Bobbie Sue Brown of Salina, UT, Jason Robinson of SLC, UT; 2 step-daughters, Lori (Pete) Jahsman of Ogden, UT and Nancy (Stefan) Otterson of Anchorage, AK; his grandchildren, Dillon and Ryan Robinson, McKylee Brown, Matt and Veronica Bain, Charles Jahsman and Anya Otterson.
