Show Geraldine "Jerri" Butler, August 2013 Condolences to Mayer Keith Butler In Loving Memory "Jerri" Geraldine Clark Butler 22 January 1935 - 21 August 2013 Funeral Services Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Myers Mortuary Chapel 845 Washington Blvd. Ogden, Utah "Families Are Forever" Geraldine (Jerri) Clark Butler MARRIOTT-SLATERVILLE - Jerri, 78, passed away August 21, 2013. She was born January 22, 1935 in Salt Lake City to Donna Jacquette Barlow and Lewis Patrick. She was raised by her mother and stepfather, Lloyd Clark. Jerri was a lifelong resident of Slaterville and a member of the LDS Church. She attended Weber County schools, graduating from Weber High in 1953. On April 27, 1956 she married Keith H. Butler. They have lived and raised their family in the same house on the corner of 400 No. since their marriage. She worked for IRS until their daughter was born then devoted her life to being a house wife and mother. Jerri was a gifted piano player, teaching others and playing at many functions. She loved to dance and play the stereo with Tom Jones records so loud it would rattle the windows. She loved babies and tended most all of the young ones in the neighborhood. She loved crocheting baby blankets and giving them to the newborns. She was burdened with poor health most of her life but had a strong spirit to the end. Jerri is survived by her husband of 57 years, Keith; daughter, Kari B. (Rick) Blickfeldt; two grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters and one brother, Diane C. (Spence) Bankhead, Dawn C. (Forrest) Proctor, Cheryl C. (John) Pierson and Russell Clark. She was preceded in death by her parents. Many thanks to all the staff at Peachtree Assistant Living and Hospice of Utah for their kind and loving care. Funeral services will be held at 11a.m. on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. A viewing will be held on Monday, August 26th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday prior to the service from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Myers Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.myers-mortuary.com 197 |
