Gardening Preparation With winter coming to an end it's a good time to start preparing for yard and garden. Once the snow melts plan to: 1. Prune trees and shrubs as needed. 2. Cut perennials, be kind to cold sensitive perennials. 3. Clean-up your yard, plants, and trees as soil thaws. 4. When it warms enough, in a prepared area, plant pansies and some hardy perennials. 5. When planting, note soil quality, plant size, and light. There is a lot of work to be done this year in our community gardens. I hope you will take this opportunity to volunteer. If you have helped in the past or you would like to help please e- mail me, or contact the city at 801-627-1919.
