Show February 5, 2013 Minor injuries in Monday 1-15 crash CLEARFIELD—A Clinton woman had only minor injuries Monday morning in a crash that ended in her driving her car under the trailer of a semitrailer. The 9:05 a.m. accident occurred between mile markers 334 and 335 on Interstate 15. According to a report from Utah Highway Patrol, a driver was cited for failure to signal a lane change for two seconds prior to the accident. That driver, Randy Phillips, 29, of Roy, reportedly was traveling southbound in the left-hand travel lane in a 2012 Dodge Charger. The report states Phillips changed lanes into the center lane, where Kimberly Winkle, 24, of Clinton, was already established in her 2002 Saturn. Winkle reportedly took evasive action toward and into the right-hand travel lane where James Ellis, 59, of Slaterville, was traveling in his 2013 Freightliner. Winkle was not transported to the hospital the report states. Resident in auto accident Congratulations to a local business. Come Celebrate Our 1 Year Anniversary!
