Show Obituary Sey “Cla Reibindon On May 20, 2013 our merciful, gracious and mighty God approved the request of His daughter, "Take me to the King". He has allowed our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, confidant and friend to claim victory over her flesh and rejoice in transition to eternal freedom to live life beyond the veil. Joy Etta Robinson was born in Ogden, UT, December 10, 1957 to Dewitt Robinson Sr. and Arveal Jones. Ogden was been her lifelong home, where she was reared and educated graduating from Ogden High School. Joy continued her education at Weber State College, majoring in Child Development. She was a lifelong member of the Emmanuel Church of God in Christ, where she was proudly served by lifting her voice in the choir. She considered it an honor and a privilege to be anointed with the gift of singing God's praise, often singing "Even Me Lord" and "The Blood”. Throughout the years Joy enjoyed working in various fields and capacities, finding her 'niche' in working with, comforting and being a companion to the elderly. However, she found her most fulfilling position under the title "Mom" and being a Grandmother is where she found life's greatest rewards. She leaves to celebrate her life - her greatest accomplishments and contributions to the world, three beautiful daughters: Monique CottrellWalton (Alfred) of Clearfield, UT; Claywanda ("Bershard") Harper of Ogden, UT and Clarresha Norwood of Clearfield, UT. Also, one brother - Dewitt Robinson Jr. (Doris) of Ogden, UT; 3 sisters - Marjorie Robinson, Inglewood, CA; Allie Deniece Richardson (Robert) of Victorville, CA and Arneal (Jackeln) Gaskins of Ogden, UT. 10 Grandchildren: Charles Demetrius Mathis, Da'shaun Mathis, Elias Walton, Aubree Clark, Sharmice Harper, Elijah Harper, Gamelle Harper, Cortney Spruill, Chu’mari Norwood, Chu’mara Norwood, 2 nephews- Royce Bumpers and Ra'Zhan Reed whom she spoiled like her grandchildren and they affectionately called her "Granny", in addition to a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends all of whom she loved dearly and unselfishly and let us not forget her loyal companion Buffy. She was preceded in death by both parents; sister, Norma Lee High; 2 grandsons: Dominique Walton & Elliot Harper. |
