She as born June 30, 1941 to Jim and Gladys Wilson in Oakland, TN. She spent her growing up years in Somerville and Memphis, TN. and graduated from Douglass high school in 1959. Ida moved to Ogden, UT in June 1959 with her sister Lucy and joined Embry Chapel AME Church at the same time. She sang in the choir and served as Sunday School Teacher as well as Superintendent. She was sponsored in her first musical concert in 1979 by the Missionary Society. Ida also participated in local opera productions such as "Porgy and Bess." On October 20, 1962 Ida married Esther Green. They Fst spent 52 years together rais- | 7. va fo & ing their children and enjoy- "* °°" =" ing their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ida worked for Cutter Lab from March 1968 until its closure in 1983. She then worked as a Quality System Inspector for Delmed, Frese| nius Medical. Ida enjoyed preparing meals for family and friends, working with the Senior Companions and swimming with her friends at the local pool. The thing Ida enjoyed the most was singing God's praises. Ida was preceded. in death by her parents, grandparents, three sisters, and five brothers. She is survived by her husband E. Green, sons Kevin Green and Marshall Green, one daughter Ptoshia (Robert) Merrills, one sister and one brother, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. The family would like to thank all of the medical professionals and Hospice nurses who cared for Ida. Idas home going celebration will be held on Friday, February 20, 2015 at 11. a.m., at Second Baptist Church located at 227 27th Street in Ogden, Utah.
