Show George Carvin Holston, Sr, Carvin George Holston, Sr. (Biggs) 61, passed away Monday, April 3, 2017 at Promise hospital, surrounded by family and loved ones. Carvin was born August 29, 1955, in Ogden, UT, to the late Cloran (Coran) M Drake and Timothy Hadley. Carvin grew up in a large loving family with 7 brothers, Arthur Lee (who proceeded him in death), Jerry, Ronald, Kenneth, Ricky, Greg, Richard, and beloved sister Jackie. Carvin attended Ogden High School, graduating in 1973. Carvin went on to accomplish a great many skills and trades, becoming a very skilled worker and handy man. Carvin was truly a radiant soul, possessing a passion for life he just could not contain. Carvin was the type of person that could never stay angry or upset, because it wasn’t long before he would be singing, dancing, and using his fingers to play drums on any and everything! In addition to being silly, and full of life, He also loved the outdoors; fishing, singing, cooking, his dog Odin, but most of all he loved his kids and spending time with loved ones. Carvin met the mother of his children Kristin in the early years of his life, and together they had three beautiful children. Leaving behind his four cherished sons: Carvin Holston Jr., Kenneth Holston, Sammy Paul, and Mark Hunter. Carvin also leaves behind 7 grand-children, 12 nieces, 7 nephews, and a host of great nieces, nephews and cousins. His good friend, and longtime girlfriend Cassandra Jones, whom the family would also like to give 4 special thank you for her part in helping to care for him. The family would also like to thank McKay Dee ICU and Promise Hospital Staff for the wonderful care and service they provided. Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. New Zion Baptist Church, Ogden, Utah. at |
