Melvin Ivory Steward Sunrise: October 21, 1965 — Sunset: April 17, 2015 Melvin Steward was born to LD and Earnestine Steward. He graduated from Ogden High School. He was a member of the basketball team and an avid sportsman. He married his soul mate, Tara Scott; they were married for 32 years. He also leaves to mourn, two daughters, Shanika and Shalaya; four grandchildren, DaeShawna, Aeronia, Aessiah and Kywahn; mother, Earnestine Steward; father, LD (Donna) Steward; five brothers, Lonnie, Curtis (Cassandra), Larry (Karen), Michael, Kelvin (Lora); three sisters, Dunnese (O.D.), Beverley (James) and Carolina. leaves a host of nieces and nephews. He also He was preceded in death by sister, Colleen; brother, Erick; several aunts and uncles; his grandparents and one-great-great-nephew. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 24, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 23” from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Myers Mortuary to help with funeral expenses. The family would also like to thank the Huntsman Cancer Center and Dr. Huntsman.
