“Andy” Andrew Dorby August 30, 1935 — November 30, 2016 “Andy” Andrew Dorby, was called home, Nov. 30, 2016 surrounded by his family at McKay Dee Hospital. Andy was born Aug. 30, 1935 in Greenwood, Mississippi to Andrew Dorby Sr. and Mady Hargons; later being reared by his aunt, Addline Jackson. Andy attended school in Illinois and later graduated from Ogden High School. In 1961 Andy met the love of his life, Queen (Green) Dorby, to this union, they had three daughters, Annette (Anthony) Marks, Arnae Dorby, and Adrienne (Billy Graham) Dorby. He also reared two nieces, Sheree Price Lee and Teresa Wright. He had four grandchildren who were the joy of his life and a godson, Joey Sattiewhite. Andy served in the United States Army. He was also a cook for the Union Pacific Railroad. He reitred from Defense Depot Ogden as a warehouseman. Andy loved to cook, fish, hunt, play dominoes, Wendover. and go to He was preceded in death by his parents, aunt, and four brothers. Services will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016 at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. Viewings will be held on Friday, Dec. 9th from 6 to 8 PM and Saturday from 12 to 12:40 PM.
