Show Jo Ellen (Tracy) Ray, 68, of Roy, UT, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Ogden Regional Medical Center. She was in God's hands and held tightly in her son's arms. Jo Ellen was born March 18, 1947 in Minneapolis, MN, the third child of Donald Marshall Sr. and Francis Jones. Tracy moved to Utah in 4967 where she met, fell in love and married Edward A. Tomas on March 9, 1968. They were later divorced but remained steadfast friends. She later married Patrick Ray in 1999. She is survived by her cherished children, Tina Larae Maynard of St. Paul, MN, Harold Lamar Thomas (Stella) of Jackson Hole, WY, and Liana Thomas Glenn (Alton) of Sanford, FL. Her greatest joy was her only granddaughter, Raigan B. Cummings of FL. Also surviving is her loving Step-mother, Helen Marshall of Little Rock, AR; two brothers, Michael Marshall (Ann), AR; San Francisco, CA, Donald Marshall Jr., Little Rock, two sisters, Natalie Sims, Los Angeles, CA and Nancy Marshall Silva (Brian), Little Rock, AR. She will be remembered fondly by nieces, nephews and other family. Tracy attended Weber State College and eventually achieved her goal to become a heavy equipment operator. She found her skills were well utilized at Morton Thiokol where she worked for many years before taking early retirement. She was a proud Grandma, a good mother, a friend, a cook, and accomplished seamstress and social butterfly. Her love of God came from the relationship that she held deep in her soul and as a member of Second Baptist Church. In her life she always kept it real from her point of view. She is preceded in death by her father; mother; her first husband; brother, Floyd Schofield and nephew, Brian Marshall. Arrangements entrusted to Myers Mortuary, Ogden, UT. |
