Show Home Going Celebration for Dewitt Robinson Jr. _ October 22, 1946 — August 10, 2017 On August 10, 2017, our loving, devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother, confidant and friend made a peaceful transition from his life on earth to life everlasting. — Dewitt Robinson, Jr. was born October 22, 1946, to Arveal Jones and Dewitt Robinson, Sr. in Ogden, Utah. He graduated from Ogden High School in 1965. There he played football and had the longest distance for shot put. After high school, he joined the United States Navy and — served in Vietnam. Soon after serving his country he became employed as an Locomotive Engineer for Union Pacific Railroad on July 5, 1963, and retired in 2004. He married his soul mate ang love of his life Doris Ann Waiters in 2009. | He enjoyed spending time withh family and sharing life stories. He loved watching sports, movies and listening to jazz and blues. He leaves to celebrate his life, his gr eatest ap Oaustanegts and| contributions to the world. ; His leaves behind his ofillasen Stanley (Christina Garner) Rébinsnd: Shalene (Aundre Jones) Robinson, Lisa (Paul) Bell, Brandunn Waiters, Anthony Stephens and Janette Steward. He was also a father figure to many others. He also leaves behind two sisters: Marjorie | Lena Robinson of Inglewood, California; and Allie Deniece (Robert) Richardson of Victorville, California; brother-in-law, Jackein Gaskins, Sr. of Ogden, Utah. He has a host of grandchildren and greatgrandchildren in addition to a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends whom dearly loved him. He was proceeded in death by his parents, and three sisters: Norma Lee High, Joyetta Robinson and ArNeal Gaskins. “We love and miss you Junebug.” Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, August 19, 2017, at the Second Baptist Church, 227 27th Street, Ogden. A viewing will be held prior to the service at 3:45 p.m. at the church. |
