Show Viola Brown Goff 10/19/1919 ~ 1/30/2014 Viola Brown Goff was born in Marshall, Texas on October 19, 1919 to harry Brown and Hattie Gause. She attended school and graduated from Mt. Enterprise High School in Diana, Texas. She grew up on a cotton farm and later moved to Marshall, Texas in 1949. She married minor league baseball player Jasper. Goff. They were later divorced. She came to Salt Lake in 1958 and worked at University Club as a cook. Later she worked at Country Kitchen, and her last job before retirement was at ZCMI’s Tiffany Room. She joined the Baptist as a child in Texas and continued her membership at the Calvary Baptist Church in Salt Lake City. She was very active as an usher and as the primary cook for all church Eastern Worthy and her passed activities. She was a long-term member of the Elks and Stars, serving as leader of the scholarship fund and as Matron. She lived with her sisters Luella and Pauline, brother Leon. She lived to be the last of 9 children; she away peacefully at Hillside Care Center. She is survived by her nephew John (Diane), and a host of other nephews and nieces, family, friends, and acquaintances.
