Show OBITUARY Nelsine Dawkins was born January 20, 1933 to the union of Arthur C. House and Orena House in Little Rock, Arkansas. Nelsine attended Ogden High School where she excelled in academics. In her later years she returned to college to achieve her Bachelors in psychology and pursue her Masters. This is just one example of her hard work, and determination. She was employed with the State of California for over 33 years working as a probation officer/counselor for troubled youth. Through her experience as a youth counselor Nelsine was able to see the need for change in her community which inspired her to begin a group home The Grains of Sands. If you Rnew Nelsine then you know that her favorite pastime was going to thrift stores to find good bargains. And she never left empty handed! Nelsine departed this life on July 10, 2015 in San Bernardino, CA. She 1s preceded in death by her husband Paul Dawkins; parents A.C. and Orena House; a daughter Venus Brazley; her brothers John House and Otis House. Nelsine leaves to cherish their memories: her loving daughters Pearl (Rafeal) Torres, and Princess Rocha; loving sons LaRahn Dawkins and Robin Dawkins; brothers Sylvester House and Dan (Beata) House; loving sister Wonda Raymond; her loving grandchildren Kimberly and Toni Carpenter, George "Shay" Hunt, Cherish Torres, Evette, Tia Dawkins, La Rahn Dawkins Jr., Airis Dawkins, Shadta Dawkins, Robyn Richardson, and Josiah; great grandchildren George Jr. and Myshala Hunt, Tierra and Marquis Evans, Samara Holmes, Rakeem McCray, Jada Dawkins, Jeneral Thompson, Jufihanna Carter and 2 other great grandchildren along with a host of nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, as well as other relatives and friends. |
