Gladys Jean Dominguez November 26, 1932 - June 21, 2017 Gladys Jean Dominguez, 84, passed away at her home in Layton, UT on June 21, 2017 with family at her side. She was born Nov. 26, 1932 in Nashville, TN to James Henry and Roberta Bradley Martin. She married Cal H. Carter and to this union they were blessed with 4 children. They later divorced. She married Gerald Dominguez and he preceded her in death. | | She grew up in Nashville, TN where she received her elementary and High School Education and continued to attend college to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. She left Tennessee and spent 10 years in Sacramento, CA and then moved to Utah in 1970. Gladys was a Christian and attended Church often. She loved crafting, sewing, knitting, fishing, crocheting, gardening and keeping a beautiful house. | She leaves behind to cherish her memory her Children: Judy Irving, Shirley Cannon, Donald R. Carter, Vanessa Walker, 12 Grandchildren; 18 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild on the way. She is also survived by Siblings: Ora Dee Palmer, Mary Williams Barksdale, Jimmy Martin and Melvin Martin. She was preceded in death by her Husband Gerald; Siblings: Carolyn Martin, Merelyn Smith and Jeannette McGee. _ The family would like to thank One Care Hospice, CNA Rose and Nurse Tyler for the care given to Gladys. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 1:00p.m. at New Zion Baptist Church 2935 Lincoln Ave. Ogden, UT. Viewing will be held 1 hour prior to services. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park — Ogden.
