Obituary for Sis. Mary Lizzie Handy Harris Mary Lizzie Handy Harris was born to ~ Robert and Eria Handy on July 15, 1934 in Shreveport, Louisiana. She attended Reed Spring Elementary and Reed Spring High School. She came to Salt Lake City, Utah in 1954. Her life work was always in food service, including positions at the University Club and the Veterans Administration Hospital. She enjoyed dancing and tried golfing. She joined the Church at 13 and was baptized at Walker Hill Baptist Church in When she moved to Blanchard, Louisiana. Salt Lake City, she united with the Calvary Baptist Church and remained faithful until her health would not allow. She was a strong and independent woman. While she had 2 sisters and 3 brothers, she is survived by her sister Betty Pittman, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. She passed away after about 2 months of Her sister & brother-in-law Betty sickness. and Wallace Pittman were at her side when she peacefully passed. eee
