McCall, Ill, M.Div. “Evaryone Courts.” Sonior Pastor Deacon Dale Griffin Sister Tamara Lamy Chair of Deacons Chair of Trustees Eepessw 44 August 13, 2016 Re:Letter of Condolence To the family of BrotherEsther “E” Green; We, the New Zion Baptist Church family, desire to Join in with you as you celebrate the life of Brother Esther Greenand would like to extend our heartfelt love and condolences to you in the passing of your Father, Grandfather, Uncle and friend, who God saw that the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb, so He closed Brother Green’s weary eyelids and whispered, “Peace be Thine” on Tuesday, August 9, 2016. Brother Green was a former member of our congregation and served faithfully as our Church Sexton for numerous years. Therefore, during this difficult time, we commend you in to the capable hands of our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ for God’s Word reminds us that He is a very present help. Know that death is not an end, but a transition to a place free of pain and suffering. The Word of God tells us in Matthew 11:28, “Come to Me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (CSB) Therefore, we know your loss is deep and your sorrow is great; but more importantly, we recognize that this loss is Heaven’s gain. It’s our humble prayer that when it is all over, we would like you to remember: “there’s one certain thing in all this, one thing more powerful than the sadness you feel, God’s love is here - to surround you, to strengthen you and to carry you. His love will pierce the darkest hour you walk through to bring hope, comfort and rest to your soul.” Praise the Lord for loaning him to you for 80 years and has now afforded him a home on high!
