Show Obituary Conrad James Steverson June 30, 1950 ~ March 12, 2017 Conrad husband, James father, Steverson, our beloved grandfather, brother and brother-in-law, passed away suddenly at his home on March 12, 2017. Conrad was born on June 30, 1950, to Leward Thomas Steverson and Leonia Williams Steverson in Philadelphia, PA. He moved to Ogden, UT, in 1969. He was a graduate of Weber High School and attended Weber State College. He married Vernie Burton Steverson November 3, 1971. He was employed by Weber Human Services and PAAG for 40 years. He worked part time as a flagger on road construction, working for various companies. Conrad enjoyed doing everything in life, from working on cars, to gardening, playing baseball and watching all-star wresting. His most favorite thing to do was fishing. He also loved the blues and religious music. He is survived by his wife of 46 years; his children: Shawnta (Joe N.) Chavis II, Omaha, NE; N-Gai (Danyel) Steverson, Layton, UT; sisters: E. Jean Steverson (Tyron) Savage, Philadelphia, PA; Ralen Penny Coleman, Raleigh, NC; four grandchildren: Master Joe N. Chavis III, Shannell Chavis, both of Omaha, NE; Jonathan Trujillo and Jaqio Adams, both of Layton, UT; and two great-grandchildren, Myla Chavis and Sophia Lucille Chavis, both of Omaha, NE. He is preceded in death by his mother, father and brother, Leward Thomas Steverson Jr. Services are held today, Saturday, March 25, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Myers Mortuary 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, UT 84404. Viewing will be held one hour prior to services. |
