Honors 110, Contemporary Issues (2) Honors 152, An Interdisciplinary Approach to the Social Sciences (4) Honors 331, The Intellectual Tradition of Man (4) Honors 332, The Intellectual Tradition of Man (4) Honors 333, The Intellectual Tradition of Man (4) REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ASSOCIATE OF ARTS AND THE ASSOCIATE OF SCIENCE A candidate for graduation with an Associate of Arts or an Associate of Science must complete a minimum of 93 credits. Students must include in the 93 credits the specific course and area requirements listed under the requirements for a Bachelor's Degree, with the following exceptions: 1. The Social Science area requirements may be satisfied by completing a minimum of 9 credit hours. 2. The state requirement in American History, Government, and Economics does not need to be completed. In a school or department where there is a specific curriculum, the curriculum listed substitutes for the general area requirements. Associate of Arts Requirements: A candidate for the title of Associate of Arts must include in the required credits the same general education requirements as the Bachelor of Arts Degree. The Associate of Arts Degree also requires a minimum of 15 credits in one foreign language or two high school units of one foreign language with at least one additional course in the same language completed in college. Three high school units of one and the same foreign language completed in high school satisfies the language requirement. REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ASSOCIATE OF APPLIED SCIENCE A candidate for the Associate of Applied Science must complete the following requirements: 1. A minimum of 93 credit hours. 2. The required courses in his major field, not to exceed 67 credit hours. 3. English 101. 4. One other English course in written or oral communication, specified by his departmental curriculum. 5. At least 20 hours from the general education courses listed in the catalog, including at least one course in each of the four areas, Humanities, Life Science, Physical Science, Social Science. The curriculum for the student's major is described in the catalog listing of each department utilizing the Associate of Applied Science Degree. Residence Requirement: A student must have completed a minimum of 30 credits at Weber State College for the title of Associate of Arts, Science, or Applied Science. He must also be registered at the College during at least one quarter following the last commencement prior to his graduation.
