Show Technology — Sales and. Retailing Technology — Sales and Retailing 1. Direct Sales and Retail Sales, requiring one quarter of training to be proficient. This would include areas of auto, insurance and produce sales. 2. Advanced Sales or Operation Supervision and Management, requiring three quarters of training to be proficient. This prepares individuals to become management trainees in areas of department managers, buyers, credit and personnel, sales representatives and general areas of supervision. 3. Store or Company Mid-Management, requiring 6 quarters to complete. This level will enable an individual to start in a firm as a management trainee. The level at which a student completes the above mentioned training will enable him to move quickly up to a better position within the food distribution industry. The training emphasizes methods and practices of supermarket operation rather than theory only.
