DEPARTMENT OF GEOLOGY AND GEOGRAPHY GEOLOGY COURSES OF INSTRUCTION 061. Gemology—Physical and other properties of the minerals and rocks used as gems in jewelry or decorative pieces. (4) 062. Mineralogy for Prospectors—A course designed to acquaint prospectors, miners, hunters, and hikers with common ore minerals and their associated gangue minerals.
