Show Dr. Donald R.& “* Elizabeth A. Carpenter Se ‘8 Donald and Elizabeth Ann of South Ogden, Utah, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on May 16, 2012. Both grew up in Ogden, Utah, and graduated from Ogden High School, Class of 1962. They are members of the | New Zion Baptist Church where they have both served in various capacities over the past 50 years. Donald is a past Master of the Lodge #20 (PHA), past Commander- in-Chief of Ben Lomond Consistory #94, and past Potentate Labbayk Temple #218. Elizabeth Ann is a past Matron of the West Chapter #17 OES (PHA), past Grand Worthy Matron of the Columbine Grand Chapter of leans and its jurisdiction, and past Loyal Lady Ruler of the Baas Lily Club #65. Donald retired from Weber State University where he taught for over 32 years in the Department of Social Work and Gerontology. He currently works for the Ogden-Weber Community Action Partnership where he serves as Agency Administrator and Head Start Director. Elizabeth Ann worked for Hill Air Force Base where she later retired. They have had and still have a fun-filled exciting life together. Both enjoy their family, friends, and traveling; they have traveled to 47 of the 50 states in their spare time. Donald is the oldest of 11 children; son of the late John Carpenter and his mother, Modestine Carpenter. Elizabeth Ann is the oldest of five children, daughter of the late Homer and Pearl Washington. Their — | children and spouses are Tamara and Thomas Larry, and Leslie and L Jason Joe. They have three grandchildren and five great- “grandchildren. j |
