Georgia Ruth Reed Georgia Ruth Reed passed away on September 30, 2014. She was born in Hope, Arkansas August 17, 1931 to Sarah Stewart and Hosie Holston. She married Chester A. Reed on November of 1965 and was a member of New Zion Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Chester Lamont Reed: her sister, Lucy Donaldson; her brother, Walter Holston; and her first cousin, Linard Holston. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sarah Stewart and Hosie Holston; her husband; her mother-in-law, Sweetie Ponder and 6 siblings. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. A viewing will be held at the mortuary on Friday, October 3 from 6-8 pm and on Saturday prior to services from 12-12:45 pm. Interment Ogden City Cemetery.
