Show "lar Ida Wilson Green passed away February 13, 2015. She was born June 30, 1941 to Jum and Gladys Wilson in Oakland, TN. She spent her growing up years in Somerville and Memphis, IN. and graduated from Douglass high school in 1959. Ida moved to Ogden, UT in June 1959 with her sister Lucy and joined Embry Chapel AME Church at the same time. She sang in the choir and served as Sunday School Teacher as well as Superintendent. She was sponsored in her first musical concert in 1979 by the Missionary Society. Ida also participated in local opera productions such as Porgy and Bess": On October 20, 1962, Ida married Esther "E." Green. They spent 52 years together raising their and great-grandchildren. Ida worked for Cutter Lab children and enjoying their grandchildren from March 1968 until its closure in 1983. She then worked as a Quality System Inspector for Delmed, Fresenius Medical. Ida enjoyed preparing meals for family and friends, working with the Senior Companions and swimming with her friends at the local pool. The thing Ida enjoyed the most was singing God's praises. Ida was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, 3 sisters, and 5 brothers. She is survived by her husband E. Green, sons Kevin Green and Marshall Green, and one daughter Ptoshia (Robert) Merrills; COUSINS. witha host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, mieces, nephews, and |
