Joseph was born July 13. 1942, in Mobile, Alabama, to John and Aline Nicholas. Immediately after. sraduating from Most Pure the United alent he oe Heart of Mary High School, in States Air Force. He retired(ggg from the Air Force in 1981, | 5: > with 21 years active military — service, and eventually set- © tled in Sacramento, California. While in Sacramento, Joseph tremely Nicholas was exactive in Fraternal, Civic, Benevolent and Social Activities, and received nu- merous awards for his involvement. Later, Joseph worked as a Third Level Su- 7, pervisor in the Maintenance 7, Division at Hill Air Force BOCES “!/)))\iiiiva - Base, Utah, and retired after 24 years aas a a cian CTTTTENETE. ersped. oa oseph achieved the highest degree of the Most Worshipful Grand Master of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge for the states of California and Hawaii, Inc., Free and Accepted Masons, for the years 1975- 1978. After moving to Clearfield, Utah in November 1998, he af-© filiated with Mt. Ogden Lodge #20 assisting when em. spe — : called upon. Joseph frequently studied the Word of == God at Embry Chapel, AME Church 1 in Ogden, Utah. s He enjoyed discussing the Bible. Joseph will be truly missed by Maxine, his devoted wife of fifty- one years. They had no children. | _ Joseph is preceded in death by his parents John and Aline» Nicholas, brother Michael Nicholas, Younger sister Berna- , — dette Nicholas and younger brother Martin Nicholas. He leaves an older brother John Paul Nicholas and his family; sisters: Peggy Monroe Ray (Raymond) and her family, Barbara _ Koehler (Kirk) and family, beloved twin sister Leona Nicholas | - Welch (James) and family, youngest sister Catherine Zoe Nicholas Ray (Howard) and family, and host of relatives in Mobile, Alabama and others in New York, and all over the 4 United States. ~ _ Memorial services will be held on Pridey: March 13, 2015 at 6p.m. at the Ogden Masonic Lodge, 1240 20th Street (at Harri- <2 &..
