Registration procedures and courses to be offered are described in the class schedule. Early Registration for Currently Enrolled Students—During each quarter, students currently enrolled in day school will be given an opportunity to register for day school the following quarter at times and places announced. Students will not be required to complete their registration at that time by payment of fees but may obtain courses. They must make payment of fees by the regular registration deadline to avoid the late fee penalty. Late Registration—Any registration completed after the final day scheduled for regular registration each quarter is subject to the late fee penalty. Registrations after the second week of the quarter must have the approval of the Dean of Admissions and Records. In all such instances, the late entrance into the class must have the approval of the class instructor before consideration for acceptance by the Dean of Admissions and Records. Normal Registration—Normal Registration for any one quarter is 15 quarter hours, exclusive of one hour of physical education activity (usually taken each quarter of the freshman year). Freshmen students are not permitted to register for upper division courses. Sophomore students may register for upper division courses by written approval of either the course instructor or the department chairman. Maximum Registration—Maximum registration without special permission is 19 quarter hours. A student may register for additional hours with the written approval of the dean of the school in which he is majoring or of the office of Academic Advisement. Petition forms requesting such approval are available in the offices of the deans and the Academic Advisement Office. Maximum registration also refers to the maximum number of credit hours for which a student may register each 36 37 |
