Ulibarri, Executive Director The mission of Academic Development is threefold: To provide support services for individual faculty, departments, school, and institution wide projects relating to the improvement of instruction. To provide support services relating to the enhancement of personal relationships and open problem solving climates both on campus and in the local community. To develop and coordinate student personnel services. ASSOCIATE DEAN OF STUDENTS Darnel L. Haney The Associate Dean of Students is administratively responsible for the student services area in the absence of the Executive Director of Academic Development. As delegated to him by the Executive Director of Academic Development, he will be responsible for housing, student activities, student government, and student union operations. At all times he will be particularly responsible for problem identification and work toward the prevention of student problems before they emerge into crisis situations. He shall have specific responsibilities to initiate staff development training within the student services operational area. The Associate Dean will be responsible for student discipline and justice for all students and has specific responsibilities for public relations and community service from the student services area operation and has the responsibility to supervise specific personnel as delegated by the Executive Director of Academic Development. He will also act as a liaison between the residence halls, college union, and other components of the Weber State College campus. 61 ;•„ .-- \.
