Show January 4, 2012 Notice of Public Hearing In accordance with Utah Code 17B-1-210, the Marriott-Slaterville City Council is considering a Resolution for a November 6, 2012, ballot measure allowing registered voters in the City to decide if they want to create a Cemetery Maintenance District (hereafter "District"). The area proposed for the District is the incorporated city limits of Marriott-Slaterville City. The service provided is a Cemetery Maintenance District. The District would be funded by a property tax and sale of cemetery plots. Administration of the District is a three-member Board of Trustees, two elected at-large, one appointed by the City. A public hearing to take public comment for and in opposition to whether this service is needed, who should provide the service, and all other matters relating to the proposal is scheduled for January 19, 2012, at 6:30 P.M. in the Legislative Chambers at 1570 West 400 North, Marriott-Slaterville, Utah. Protests to the creation of the District may be filed with the City Recorder within 60 days after January 19, 2012.
