Show Marriott-Slaterville History May 2012 Resident Jimmy Blair was remembered in the Standard Examiner on May 12, 2012, as a sixth straight year winner in the Utah Golf Association event in the 1970s. His son, Zac blair, aimed to tie his father's record on May 11, 2012, but came in at a fourth-place tie. A Weber County Sheriff's deputy shot an aggressive pit bull in Marriott-Slaterville City on May 14, 2012. After several attempts to capture or subdue the dog, the shooting of the animal was approved. The Venture Academy purchased adjacent acreage to build a new high school, to be opened in the tall of 2013. Ninth-graders at the school are contributing research and design ideas to the school. Brandon Sloper, a resident, waived his right on May 26, 2012, to a preliminary hearing on a charge of kidnapping and aggravated assault. A felony arraignment hearing is set for June 27, 2012. A "hoarder" in our city, Brian Michael Davidson, was charged with 21 felonies in eight cases, ranging from theft and burglary to altering VIN numbersThe cases were filed beginning in February, from four different agencies.
