These groups, sometimes referred to as guilds, occasionally hale from neighboring states, although several of them are local members of national organizations which preserve and promote historical arts. Respect Road Improvements As summer approaches the City is doing road maintenance. The first project was replacement of two culverts on 2200 West between Pioneer Road and Slaterville Park. During the repair, the old culverts had to be removed and new ones placed. The road had to be closed to allow time for the concrete to dry and cure. WTiile the road was closed a person in a truck drove around the road closed signs, onto a resident's private front lawn, and through the wet cement at the culverts. The truck sunk deep into the wet concrete causing deep ruts had to be fixed. This damage caused additional expense and delay re-opening the road. Please do not drive around road closed signs, they are there for a reason. There is a $50 reward for any information that leads to the conviction of the person that drove a truck around the road closed signs and through the wet concrete on 2200 West. 169 |
