Show September 11, 2012 September 16, 2012 Marilyn Stanger OGDEN - Our dear wife, mother, and grandmother passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2012. She was born October 10, 1930 in Twin Groves, Idaho to Leland and Geneva Law, the second of six children. The family later moved to Ogden where she I graduated from Ogden High. Marilyn married Grant Stanger in the Logan Temple on June 30, 1948. In the 64 years together they raised five children, and have 25 grandchildren, 33 greatgrandchildren, and one great, great-granddaughter. Marilyn had a fierce love for her family. She enjoyed being with them and supporting them in their activities. She was a talented homemaker who crocheted, quilted, and sewed many previous gifts for her family and friends. She loved to cook and we will miss her delicious meals, rolls, and treats that she was always quick to share. Marilyn had a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and she served faithfully in many callings in the Marriott ward. Her strong faith enabled her to overcome many difficult health problems including a dangerous fall and a stroke. She persevered in her recovery until she was able to do all those things that were important to her. She was not afraid to share the gospel and took many opportunities to bear her testimony both in word and in action. She was a great example of determination, service and thought- fulness. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband Grant; her children, Susan (Kent) Fuller, Douglas (Marilyn) Stanger, Jan (Lynn) Larsen, Mark (Debbie) Stanger, and Criss (Todd) Wheeler; sisters, Jean Lundgreen, Renee Johns, and sister-in-law Jeanette Law; brothers, Scott (Jeannie) Law, Brian ( Nancy) Cedar, and her many beloved grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Roy (Jeanette) Law. The family would like to thank Harmony Hospice for their loving care of Mom. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 11am at the Marriott/Slaterville Ward Chapel, 250 N. 1500 W. Friends may visit with family, Friday, September 14, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd, and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to services on Saturday.
