These irrigation companies are separate companies and not affiliated with the city and have done a good job for over 150 years. Water serving our residents and farmers comes from Pine View through a system of different water courses before it arrives here. During the recent winter there was a severe wind storm that toppled many trees. It is our understanding from our water officials that trees fell and clogged Mill Creek. This is a vital irrigation system to our community. The tree fall occurred at various placed between Ogden Canyon and the Ogden Nature Center. This resulted in water problems for residents in our subdivisions and for others who flood irrigate. The city was not be able to get adequate flow to irrigate Slaterville Park until the end of May and the park has severely dried. Residents and farmers have been frustrated by the lack of pressure and flow as well. The city appreciates the work of North Slaterville Irrigation Company in working with Pine View and other water users and companies in the county to repair Mill Creek. The city also appreciates the patience of residents on the pressurized system. Managing water is not easy, it takes a lot of work to bring water to our valley. Thanks for your understanding.
