Show Great Seal of King Placed On British Orders. LONDON, Aug. 24 King George held a privy council at Buckingham palace today and signed orders I council under the great seal authorizing the government to mobilize the navy, naval reserve and the territorial (national guard) when necessary. The king gave Edward Leslie Burgin, minister of supply in the cabinet, full powers to conserve supplies, issue ration cards and commandeer all transport. |
