I feel fvery tired for I always over do if I feel well but I feel ill, dizzy & sick stomach so after Dr taking my blood pressure find it registers 220 so I am ordered to spend a few days in bed & reman quiet. I did not rest very well last night and going all day was too much it looks like. England Lists 512 Air War Dead, Missing 1939 LONDON, Dec. 22 The royal air force has suffered 512 casualties including 380 known dead since the outbreak of war, according to the latest air ministry figures. This compilation does not include casualties of the navy air arm, which operates separately. No record of plane losses was available. The casualty communique issued Friday was the fifteenth since the start of war and announced 24 killed, seven of the deaths being on active service; 11 missing and believed killed, and three others missing. Finns Capture Brass Band of Russian Army By WEBB MILLER WITH FINNISH ARMY on the Karelian Isthmus Dec. 23 Finnish troops for the 17th successive day threw back the Russian army Saturday in its attempts to break the Mannerheim line. Amidst flurries of snow the Russians continued to batter the Finnish stonewall on the Karelian Isthmus but they made no progress. The fighting raged in a setting resembling an old fashioned Christmas card with four inches of snow mantling the fir and spruce woods. Sitting in their tents Saturday night the Finns laughed at their own lack of pomp and told how Finnish troops in the Salla area had captured instruments for a large brass band from the Russians. The Russians, they said, evidently planned to have a band for a victory parade.
