Show Sunday, Oct. 22. Dr and I had dniner alone. We attended Sabbath school Janath landed in N.Y. today from Europe. This afternoon we drove down to Layton with Drs brother Dr Ezra and wife (Annie) to call on the Ellison family. Ephriam Ellesson passed away at the age of 89. He and the Drs have been buisness associates and friends many years. They will be honary pall bearers tomorrow. This evening we Dr & I were guests of Pres & Mrs D.J. Wilson and their Sunday night after church club to hear Don B. Coulton talk on Church History. Monday, Oct. 23. Have done some typing this A.M. At 1230 Dr & I Ezra and Annie went to Layton to the funeral service ofE.P. Ellison. It was well attended and a very complimentary service. Apostle D.O. McKay was the main speaker. This evening Dr & I entertained Mrs. Alex Brwer and her daughters Eloise, Ruth, Majorie & her Husband Harold also Myrene Rich Brewer. Dr showed his pictures taken on our trip to Central America. I served refreshments. Jr & Blanch are having a fine time East. Tuesday, Oct. 24. I have spent today on genealogy work. Did not go to R.S. Meeting. Have spent today writing letters wrote my brother Oren also Mae his wife also to Avon. Recd a letter from Mary who is with Taylor on a vacation in Arizona. We are delighted to see where Janath has arrived on the Manhattan from Europe. She was called home from her mission on account of the War. Wednesday, Oct. 25. Have done nothing special. Dr had a letter from Richard about his first. We are pleased that Mr Fred Abbot qualified for Mayor & hope he will be elected. |
