Heavy firing from the area between Emden and Ditzum in Germany was heard today at several points of The Netherland German frontier. No details of the firing were available. Observers said it sounded like artillery fire but experts said it was possible antiaircraft guns were in action. (Winschoten is in northwestern Holland, not far from the German naval base at Emden.) |
