Description	This collection contains 74 diaries of Dr. Edward Rich and his wife Almira. They begin in 1892 and run through 1965. The bulk of this collection centers on Almira's diaries that run from 1897-1947. During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins.

OCR Text	Show Friday, Nov. 3. Weather wonderful. Cleone called for me and we attended Acacia Club at Margret Wrights home. Mrs Hugh Brown gave a fine talk on her two years in Eng. She & her husband were in charge of that mission & were called home on account of War in Europe as have been all L.D.S. Missionaries in those countries. She described some of the blackouts of London etc. This evening Dr and I had a nice pheasant dinner with Dr Ezra & Annie in their lovly canon home. The Drs sister Nanie Woolley is very sick in Los Angeles. Ezra may go down in the morning if she is concious. Oslo Nov 4 39 The newspaper Aftenposten, commenting today on the Moscow newspaper Pravadas attack on Finland, said Russian arguments in support of demands on Finland constitute a record in hypocrisy even in 1939. Brussels A French sublieutenant was arrested and interned yesterday when he crossed the frontier to take a drink in a Belgian cafe. The name of the town was not announced. Copenhagen Legal experts representing six small neutral nations which last August joined in a peace appeal to Europes great powers, will meet here Monday to discuss technical problems involving their neutrality, it was announced today. The states to be represented all members of the Oslo trade convention are Belgium, The Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland. Sunday, Nov. 5. Beautiful day. Dr and I went to Sunday School Dr gave a good lesson. We had dinner with Myrene and children. Spent afternoon and evening home. Dr spoke at the funeral of a boy 14 yr. old who was accidently shot by a playmate. His fathers name is Harbertson. Dr was present at the boys birth. Junior will be back tonight. Jr & Joe came and their crowd of five hunters killed five elk. Ralph and Maren and their friend Frank Wize spent the evening with us. Dr showed his pictures of Central America.
