During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show Tuesday, March 28. Weather fine. I attended 18 Ward Relief Society meeting, enjoyed it alot. Spent this evening preparing a talk o our trip for Acacia Club. Dr & I went to see Carola Goya in a recital of Spanish dancing also Beatrice Buford Harpist. Very fine. Wednesday, March 29. Have had a buisy day at home and have spent the evening studying about our trip etc. A nice letter from Avon. Thursday, March 30. This afternoon I went up to Mrs Albert Beckers home and found to my surprise the Tea was yesterday, so I called on Mrs Martha Cooley and enjoyed a visite with her until six P.M. then had Mrs Engstrom do my hair, shampoo etc. Mrs. Edward I. Rich and her daughter, Mrs. Royal Eccles were hostesses to the Acacia club at the home of Mrs. Rich on Friday afternoon. Mrs. Rich, who has recently returned from a trip to Panama and Central America gave a talk on her experiences. She also displayed an interesting exhibit of hand made articles by Indians. Eighteen members were present with Mrs. A. L. Brewer and Mrs. Junior Edward Rich as special guests. Dr. and Mrs. Junior Edward Rich entertained at an enjoyable family dinner at their home on Friday evening. Covers were laid for Dr. and Mrs. Edward I. Rich, Mr. and Mrs. Royal Eccles, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph W. Brewer and the host and hostess. 1939. |
