Sunday, April 9. Dr is 71 today. Dr is seventy one years old today. Seems to enjoyed perfect health and looks splendid. He is much loved and respected by all of his children and wife. This is our 45 anniversary. We have been blessed and have enjoyed the years togather. Today we listened in to General Conference after lunch we drove to Salt Lake listened to Conference from Radio in our car. We called to see Maren 7 Ralph in their cozy apt. Monday, April 10. I have been buisy about home and have read the papers some. One wonders just when War will be declared. The European Countries certainly are at each othes throats. It is delightful weather for this time of year. Had a letter from Oertel a clipping inclosed telling of her wonderful success at Wellesley College she mad Phi Beata Capa & recd many honors during her two years there. Tuesday, April 11. Met Mr Kaldwine at Pioneer Hall to see what he would clean it for. He made a price of 80.00 for wall paper & wood cleaning. A good price I think will report some to Committe. Called at Ida Treeseders to give her some ways & means money. Spent the rest of today in bed with sick headache. Very dizzy when I get up. The 18 Ward Relief Society was reorganized. Mrs Alma Peterson resigned. Wednesday, April 12. Do not feel so very good so after lunch I slept for two hr. & this evening felt better so Dr & I went to hear Hellen Jeppson. She is a beautiful singer & has much charm.
