The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show Monday, July 10. Avon and Mary left at six A.M. by auto for their homes in Cal. Justin went with them to be at Junes ranch for the summer and Carlin will spend the summer with Cleone. Charles had no fever and seemed all right. It was a very warm night and is very warm today. It has been fine to have such a nice visite with the girls. Joe Flygare died today. He has lived on our block for 40 years or more. Tuesday, July 11. Glee Cozzens my nephew was operated for Apendicitis by Dr & Dr Junior. Cleaned up stairs very hot. Mrs Jensen did most of it Donald Cozzens brought Glee down from Coakville he had been sick five days. Settled with Mrs Jensen for fourteen days of house work, and will have her once a week from now on for cleaning. I solicited a ham also ice cream to serve 75 pioneers on the 24th of July for D.U.P. Wednesday, July 12. Not quite so warm. Have been rather buisy but have accomplished very little. I made a cake and took over to Mrs Flygare. His funeral will be tomorrow. They live on this block. Mr Green called to get a subscription for a book he hopes to have printed this Fall. Cleone called. I rested awhile this afternoon. Had a letter from Avon saying they had a good trip home. they made to Donner Lake the first night. A letter from Oertel. Thursdya, July 13. This is the hottest day ever recorded in Ogden. Mrs Jensen cleaned down stairs. At one oclock I attended funeral service in the 18 Ward for Joseph Flygare. Wrote to Avon. |
